- Challenge proof: photos or other proof you voluntarily submit for a challenge.
- Support information: anything you include when contacting us, such as your device, app version, and a description of a problem.

We may collect basic technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Onward, such as device type, operating system, app version, crash information, and interactions with the service. We do not use your habit data to sell advertising profiles.

We use information to provide your account, sync your habits, show the features you request, connect you with friends, run challenges, calculate progress, send requested reminders or updates, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Information may be visible to friends or challenge participants when you choose to use social features, according to the controls shown in the app. We may also share information with service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, or deliver the service, and when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Photos and camera access
Onward requests camera access only when you choose to capture proof for a challenge. A proof photo is used for that challenge feature and is shared according to the challenge’s visibility. You can control camera permission through your device settings.
7. Your choices
- Update or correct account information in the app.
- Manage notifications and device permissions in the app and your device settings.
- Use the available data export controls to request a copy of your information.
- Request account deletion by using the account controls or contacting support.
8. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Onward is not intended for children who are not permitted to use online services under the laws that apply where they live. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
